Our story

A little farm with a big heart.

Vegas Farms started with two alpacas, a patch of desert, and a hunch that this city could use a gentler kind of place to visit. A few years and a lot of fluff later, here we are.

A rustic ranch barn glowing in warm golden-hour light at the edge of the desert.
How it began

From two alpacas to a whole herd.

We're a family — the Morenos — who fell head over heels for these gentle, goofy animals and decided to share them with our neighbors.

What started as a weekend project on the northwest edge of the valley grew, one curious alpaca at a time, into the friendly little ranch you can book today. We're not a big tourist operation, and we like it that way: small groups, slow mornings by appointment, and real connection with the herd.

What we believe

How we do things.

01

The herd comes first

Small visitor groups, shaded pasture, fresh hay, and a calm routine. Happy alpacas make for a happy farm.

02

Wholesome & welcoming

Every age, every family, every ability. We want the ranch to feel warm and easy for everyone who visits.

03

Gentle, hands-on learning

Kids leave knowing how to be kind to animals and where soft, cozy alpaca fiber actually comes from.

04

Rooted in the valley

We're proudly local — a quiet, green little escape on the desert's edge, just minutes from the bright lights.

A gentle hand feeding a fluffy alpaca a cup of feed in warm light.
Caring for the herd

Good lives, soft fleece.

Alpacas are wonderfully low-impact, gentle animals — and ours live a genuinely good life.

They graze, they sunbathe, they hum at each other, and every spring we shear them so they stay cool through the desert summer. That fleece becomes the cozy yarn and socks we offer with every booking — nothing wasted, all of it soft.

  • Annual spring shearing for comfort and fiber
  • Routine vet care and a calm daily rhythm
  • Locally made alpaca-fiber goods available with every booking
